John 3:16-17 MSG

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life”.

God so loves us all, it’s not that He needs us, it’s that He wants us. That brothers & sisters is the most amazing & beautiful thing.

About Me

My name is Jacob Philip Daniel Yardley. My wife Heidi Danielle is my NOBLE Blessing. I have two boys, Philip Gordon 22 & his partner Taryn, a beautiful daughter Emilie Teresa who is 16 & Daniel Jacob 14, who is not afraid to lie down with the lions. I have two grandchildren, Shaun 4 & Azalea (Zali) 2 to Philip & Taryn.

I was born 6 weeks premature on Monday (Mondays child is fair of face) the 5th of August 1968 at North Shore Public Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

The weather was a balmy 26 degrees Celsius, with clear blue skies, no cloud. Thank you God. If I was born at night it would have occurred during a waxing moon.

I was born with no middle name or names; these came later in life after taking my two boys names, Philip & Daniel. The meaning of my name is, wrestles with God or to follow God. I have many times over my life done the former and now, unashamed to do the latter.

As  I was coming into this world, Luther Perkins, an American guitarist was leaving.  Coming into this world with me was Andreas Lupzig, who would 30 years later play for team Germany in ice hockey, Terri Clarke, a Canadian country music singer & Funkmaster Flex American, hip hop DJ to name a few.

On that day, 1st Squadron Special Air Service were in contact in Vietnam, The 1st Battalion RAR were 8 months into their tour of duty, with the 5th Battalion in Australia working up for their tour in Jan 1969.

217762 Pvt William (Jack) McGoldrick of 1 Reinforcement Unit died, just before 4am in the Phuoc Tuy Province, May he not grow old as we grow old. We will remember him at the going down of the sun, Lest We Forget.

Last, but by no means least, my Noble Blessing, Heidi Danielle Yardley would follow me into this world 2 years, 8 months and 18 days later. I am sure I was doing a happy & joyful jig that day at almost 3 years of age without knowing why.

We both would take the road less traveled until we met at 8:35 PM on the 4th of February 2004, a short 35 years, 5 months & 30 days later after my birth. Thank you God, His son whom He gave on the cross & the Holy Spirit.

We attend Riverview Church in Burswood, Perth, Western Australia. This house of love as we have come to call it, through God and His work, has been a place of healing & self-discovery. We have found so much love, patience, acceptance, help an the beginning of a transformed life, thank you Father.

I am trying to be a difference maker and I am going to tell the world about our unconditionally loving Father who grabbed us with His loving arms, boxed us in and hasn’t let us go.

I believe our Fathers words are, “child, welcome home, put away your letters of explanations as to why you ran from me as a child, they are not needed, I am so happy to see you home. Servants prepare a banquet, clothe my children in new white robes, it’s time to celebrate. I will replant them in my tree of life, these two broken branches. I will give them new life, new hope, new love. I will show them the way”.

Thank you Lord Jesus for giving up your life in such a cruel, humiliating way on that cross for us all.

In Jesus name Amen
